Description

This MCP server provides YouTube video transcripts to compatible clients like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and OpenCode. It supports both local and remote deployment modes, using either a Python-based yt-dlp method or a pure JavaScript youtubei.js method for transcript extraction, with automatic fallback. The server returns video titles and full transcripts in plain text, supporting multiple subtitle languages and is suitable for desktop and cloud environments.
