Description

This MCP tool exposes yfinance-powered stock market data and basic trading-related information to Claude Desktop through the MCP protocol. It supports real-time quotes, company overviews and metrics, daily historical time series, symbol search, analyst recommendations, and insider transactions. The project is open-source (MIT) and adapted from an earlier mcp-stocks implementation to run directly with Claude Desktop and the MCP library. It requires Python 3.10+ and is intended for local/self-hosted use within Claude Desktop.
