Description

This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that exposes Yahoo Finance data (via the yfinance library) to language models and MCP-compatible clients. It supports real-time stock price lookups, historical price retrieval, company information and financial metrics, stock comparisons, and keyword-based stock search. The server runs as a stdin/stdout MCP process and is designed for easy integration with clients like Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP-enabled agents. It enables agents to query live market data and structured financial resources using defined URI schemes.
