An open-source MCP server that connects a personal WhatsApp account to an LLM (e.g., Claude) for searching chats, contacts, and sending messages while storing data locally.
Search a user's personal WhatsApp message history and retrieve contextual snippets for conversation-aware responses.
Locate contacts or chats by name or phone number and send messages on behalf of the user.
List chats, fetch recent interactions, or obtain surrounding message context to inform replies or actions.
This project implements a Model Context Protocol server that bridges a personal WhatsApp account (via the whatsmeow-based Go bridge) and a Python MCP server used by LLMs like Claude. Message history and chat metadata are stored locally in SQLite, and a Go bridge keeps the database in sync with WhatsApp Web multidevice API. The Python MCP server exposes standardized tools for searching contacts and messages, retrieving chat context, and sending messages, only sending data to the model when explicitly accessed via tools you control. This enables private, agent-driven access to your WhatsApp conversations for search, context retrieval, and automated messaging workflows.
