Description

VS MCP Server is a beta release extension that exposes 106 tools to allow AI agents such as Claude Code to interact with Visual Studio. It supports a wide range of functionalities including solution and project management, build operations, code navigation, debugging, UI automation, web browser automation, testing, and NuGet package management. The server runs inside Visual Studio and communicates via an HTTP-based MCP server bridged by a StdioProxy, enabling seamless AI-driven IDE control and automation.
