Description

This server exposes UniProt protein data (name, function description, full sequence, length, organism) via the Model Context Protocol, supporting single and batch queries. It includes a 24-hour TTL cache for performance, handles rate limiting and retries, and returns structured protein information useful for downstream agents. Built with the MCP Python SDK and httpx, it is suited for integrating protein lookups into conversational agents or pipelines.
