Runs MCP stdio-based servers over SSE or WebSocket to enable remote access, debugging, and client connections when an MCP server only supports stdio.
Expose a local MCP stdio server as an SSE endpoint so web clients can subscribe to real-time events and send messages via HTTP.
Connect to a remote SSE-based MCP server and interact with it locally via stdio (SSE→stdio) for CLI integration or local tooling.
WebSocket access to a stdio MCP server (stdio→WS) for bidirectional, low-latency communication suitable for apps or remote debugging.
Supergateway converts Model Context Protocol (MCP) stdio servers into networked services using Server-Sent Events (SSE) or WebSockets (WS), and can also connect to remote SSE MCP servers and expose them locally via stdio. It supports stdio→SSE, stdio→WS, and SSE→stdio modes, configurable paths, headers, CORS, health endpoints, and works with Docker and ngrok for public exposure. This makes it easy to integrate, debug, or remotely access existing MCP stdio servers from web clients, CLIs, or agent workflows.
