Description

This addon starts an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at /mcp while your Storybook dev server is running and exposes tools to guide agents when creating UI components. It provides standardized UI-building instructions (CSF3 story format, best practices, linking requirements) and a tool to return direct Storybook URLs for specific stories. The server is designed for Vite-based Storybook setups and is primarily tested with Claude Code but compatible with other MCP clients that support the streamable-http transport. The workflow helps agents automatically produce example stories, visually verify component states, and link those stories for documentation and tests.
