A TypeScript MCP server that provides local-network control of Sonos devices via UPnP/SOAP, exposing discovery, playback, queue, group, library, EQ, alarm, and real-time event features to MCP clients.
Discover Sonos devices on a local network and register them for control and monitoring.
Control playback, manage queues/playlists, adjust volume/EQ, and create or restore device snapshots programmatically.
Real-time state updates (playback, queue, volume, topology) via event subscriptions for automation and synchronized multi-room control.
This server lets MCP-compatible agents discover and control Sonos speakers on the local network using SSDP and SOAP/UPnP. It implements playback and volume control, full queue and library browsing, group management, alarms, snapshots, and real-time event subscriptions (GENA). Runs in stdio or SSE (HTTP) mode, is written in pure TypeScript, and is designed to integrate with AI assistants and other MCP clients for automation and monitoring.
