Description

SHODAN-MCP is an open-source MCP server that provides a convenient interface to the Shodan API for searching internet-connected devices, gathering host intelligence, DNS data and vulnerability/CVE information. It supports advanced search filters, facets, banner grabbing, port and CVE lookups, and can be integrated into AI agents and IDEs (Claude, Cursor, VSCode) via the MCP protocol. The server is asynchronous for high-performance usage and requires a Shodan API key stored in a .env file; some queries consume Shodan credits. It's intended for security researchers, penetration testers and defensive teams to automate discovery and analysis workflows.
