Description

This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that wraps the Semantic Scholar API to provide searchable access to academic papers. It exposes tools for searching papers, fetching paper and author details, and retrieving citations and references. The server is a lightweight Python process (requires the semanticscholar and mcp packages) and is designed to be used by MCP-capable clients such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and CLine. It enables LLM agents to query and cite scholarly literature programmatically.
