Description

This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that integrates with a SearXNG search backend to provide agents with web-search capabilities. It supports SSE and stdio transports, can be run via Docker, uv, or Smithery, and is intended as a template for adding tools, prompts, and resources. The server emphasizes privacy by using SearXNG and is easy to extend for custom agent tooling. A running SearXNG instance is required as a prerequisite.
