A proof-of-concept MCP server that lets MCP-compatible clients SSH into network devices using the async Scrapli library.
Open SSH sessions to network devices asynchronously and run commands through Scrapli.
Connect to network devices from Claude Desktop or other MCP clients via a stdio-based MCP server (or via an SSE gateway for Windows clients).
A lightweight, local MCP server to prototype automated network-device interactions and integrations.
This repository provides a simple MCP (Model Context Protocol) server implemented with Scrapli to enable SSH interactions with network devices from MCP-compatible clients (for example, Claude Desktop). It is designed as a proof of concept showcasing async device connectivity and easy integration with clients that support stdio-based MCP servers. The project targets Linux/macOS (Scrapli is not Windows-compatible) and includes instructions to run the server in a virtualenv using the uv package manager. For Windows clients like Claude Desktop, the README documents using an SSE gateway to bridge to the HTTP server.
