PyPSA MCP provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) bridge between large language models and PyPSA to create, manage, simulate, and optimize power system models using natural language. It supports creating network components (buses, generators, loads, lines, storage), setting time snapshots, running power flow and optimization (multiple solvers and formulations), and exporting model summaries. The project is open-source and intended to make energy system modelling more accessible to agents and interactive tools.
