This project provides a proxy server that allows external agents, editors (like VS Code), and desktop assistants (like Claude Desktop) to communicate with JetBrains IDEs via the MCP (Model Context Protocol). It includes configuration examples for VS Code, Claude Desktop, and Dockerized clients, and documents troubleshooting tips and environment variables for selecting IDE host/port and enabling logging. The repository is deprecated because the functionality has been integrated into IntelliJ-based IDEs starting with version 2025.2.
