A Python-based management control plane for Proxmox VE clusters that lets you list resources, control VM lifecycle, provision VMs, and run commands inside VMs.
Manage VM lifecycle across a Proxmox cluster (start, stop, reboot, suspend, reset) programmatically.
Provision new VMs from ISOs with default or custom resources and automate environment setup.
Execute commands inside VMs (e.g., system updates, package installs) using the QEMU Guest Agent and gather cluster/node/storage status.
Proxmox MCP Server (Advanced Edition) is an open-source MCP that integrates with the Proxmox VE API to provide cluster-wide operations such as start/stop/reboot VMs, automated provisioning from ISOs, in-VM command execution via the QEMU guest agent, and storage/health overviews. It is designed for secure operation using API tokens and environment/config files (no hardcoded credentials), and includes CLI/VSCode integration for automated workflows. The project is packaged in Python, licensed MIT, and is intended to simplify automation and operational tasks across Proxmox clusters.
