A Model Control Protocol (MCP) server that lets Claude Desktop automate Microsoft PowerPoint to create, edit, and manage presentations.
Programmatically create and populate PowerPoint presentations from natural-language prompts (for reports, proposals, or slide decks).
Extract and analyze slide text content to summarize presentations or feed slide content into downstream workflows.
Automate editing tasks in existing presentations, such as adding slides, updating shape text, setting titles, and saving changes.
This MCP server exposes PowerPoint functionality (via the PowerPoint COM API) to Claude Desktop, enabling operations like creating, opening, saving, and closing presentations; adding slides and text boxes; and updating slide content. It runs on Windows with Microsoft PowerPoint installed and uses pywin32 and fastmcp to communicate with Claude over MCP. The tool is useful for automating repetitive slide tasks, programmatically generating presentation content from prompts, and integrating PowerPoint workflows into agent-based automation.
