An MCP server that lets MCP-compatible AI assistants securely access and manage PI Dashboard resources (categories, charts, exports).
List, retrieve, create, update, or delete categories and chart objects in a PI Dashboard via a standardized MCP interface.
Authenticate, maintain session tokens, and verify connectivity to a PI API endpoint before performing dashboard operations.
Export chart content (PDF/other formats), discover filterable chart attributes, and run analysis prompts against chart metadata and data.
This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides standardized tools and resources for interacting with the PI Dashboard API. It exposes authentication helpers, category and chart CRUD and listing operations, export functionality, and schema-discovery utilities to help agents filter and query chart data. The server is designed for easy deployment (Docker, npx, or local Node) and integration with MCP clients such as Claude for Desktop, enabling automated analysis and manipulation of dashboard assets.
