Description

This MCP server implements the Perplexity API Platform to provide AI assistants with real-time web search, advanced reasoning, and deep research using Sonar models (e.g., sonar-pro, sonar-deep-research, sonar-reasoning-pro). It includes tool endpoints for direct search, conversational Q&A with live search, deep research, and advanced reasoning, and provides configuration examples for popular MCP clients (Claude, Codex, Cursor, Claude Desktop). The server requires a Perplexity API key and supports setting request timeouts for long-running research tasks, making it suitable for agents that need current web data and extended analysis.
