An MCP server exposing tools to interact with the Penumbra blockchain, enabling privacy-preserving queries for validators, transactions, DEX state, and governance proposals.
Retrieve current validator set and staking-related information from the Penumbra blockchain.
Look up transaction details, chain status (height and chain ID), or DEX batch auction state for decision-making or reporting.
List and monitor active governance proposals or integrate Penumbra query capabilities into Claude/Desktop workflows.
Penumbra MCP Server is a TypeScript-based Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides standardized tools for querying and interacting with the Penumbra blockchain. It offers endpoints for validator set details, chain status, transaction lookups, DEX batch auction state, and governance proposals, with mock implementations for development and plans to integrate with Penumbra client libraries. The project includes environment-driven configuration and an integration example for Claude Desktop to make it easy to attach to agent toolchains. It is designed to respect Penumbra's privacy-preserving features like shielded transactions and sealed-bid DEX auctions.
