Description

paper-mcp is an MCP server built with FastMCP that allows Claude or any large language model to fetch academic paper metadata, PDFs, full text, citations, and references by paper title. It integrates data from Semantic Scholar, arXiv, Unpaywall, and a headless browser fallback for JS-rendered pages, providing comprehensive and accessible academic paper information. The server can be run easily with uvx or installed permanently, supporting both stdio and SSE transports.
