An MCP server that lets Claude and other LLMs control Philips Hue lights via the OpenHue CLI.
Query and list Philips Hue devices, rooms, and available scenes to present the user with current home lighting state.
Perform granular light control (on/off, brightness, color, temperature) in natural language as part of automation or conversational workflows.
Activate or manage room-wide settings and scenes (e.g., set 'Relaxing' scene or dim all kitchen lights) via Claude Desktop or any MCP-compatible LLM interface.
This MCP server exposes Hue light, room, and scene controls to Claude Desktop and other LLM-based agents, translating natural language requests into OpenHue CLI commands. It supports listing lights/rooms/scenes, turning lights on/off, adjusting brightness, setting colors and color temperature, and activating scenes. The server runs on Node.js and uses a local OpenHue Docker CLI setup to communicate with your Hue Bridge, enabling secure local automation and conversational control from LLMs.
