Description

Onyx MCP Server is an open-source bridge that lets MCP clients (like Claude Desktop and Cline) query and retrieve contextual information from Onyx document sets. It provides semantic search with LLM relevance filtering, configurable chunk context (above/below), optional full-document retrieval, and a chat tool that uses Onyx's chat API for LLM + RAG synthesis. The server is configurable via environment variables (ONYX_API_TOKEN, ONYX_API_URL) and exposes two tools: search_onyx for targeted retrieval and chat_with_onyx for conversation-style answers.
