Exposes Obsidian vaults stored in iCloud Drive to AI agents via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so agents can read and use vault content as context.
Read and retrieve notes from Obsidian vaults stored in iCloud Drive as contextual knowledge for responses.
Integrate a user's personal note corpus into MCP-capable desktop assistants (for example Claude Desktop) without uploading notes to external services.
Support multiple vaults on a single machine and be run locally or inspected using the MCP inspector during development.
This MCP server connects one or more Obsidian vaults located in iCloud Drive to MCP-compatible clients (for example Claude Desktop). It runs as a Node process (or via npx) and accepts vault paths as arguments, enabling agents to query and retrieve note content from those vaults. It is designed for local/private access to your Obsidian notes and is tested primarily on macOS. The repository also references using the MCP inspector for local development and debugging.
