Description

This repository implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Nutanix Virtual Machine Management APIs, providing a CLI chatbot that can list/create images, create VMs, collect logs, and surface alerts. It supports any LLM endpoint that follows OpenAI API standards (tested with Nutanix AI / llama-3-1-8b) and declares tools dynamically in the system prompt for broad LLM compatibility. The server supports multiple MCP instances via a JSON configuration and includes an inspector workflow to validate tools before using the chatbot. It’s useful for automating Nutanix cluster operations and integrating LLM-driven workflows into operational tooling.
