Description

This MCP server provides programmatic access to the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP) data, including animal details, pedigrees, progeny, and breeding decision support tools. It features automatic response summarization to manage LLM context window limits, smart caching to improve performance, and multiple transport options such as stdio, HTTP SSE, and WebSocket. The server supports 15 tools including NSIP API endpoints and shepherd consultation tools, enabling AI assistants to deliver data-driven genetic improvement advice for sheep breeders.
