An MCP server that lets LLM agents interact with Notion workspaces (read, query, update, comment) and optionally convert content to Markdown to save tokens.
Read and summarize Notion pages and blocks with reduced token usage by converting content to Markdown.
Query and update Notion databases and page properties programmatically (create items, run queries, update schemas).
Manage page content, comments, and block hierarchies (append/delete blocks, create/retrieve comments, list users).
This project provides an MCP server for the Notion API so Claude-like agents can programmatically access and manipulate Notion pages, blocks, databases, users, and comments. It exposes many tools (retrieve/update pages and databases, append/delete blocks, search, create comments, list users, etc.) and is configurable via environment variables and command-line flags. An experimental Markdown conversion feature can return human-readable, token-efficient Markdown instead of raw JSON for view-only use cases. The server is open-source (MIT) and intended as a community tool rather than an official Notion product.
