Description

This MCP server uses ipapi.co to determine the caller's approximate location from IP and queries the Google Places API to find nearby places by keyword, radius, and optional type filters. It exposes a simple tool endpoint (search_nearby) that can be run as a standalone Python service or installed into MCP/Claude Desktop. The implementation is lightweight and intended for quickly adding location-aware search capabilities to agents or apps that have access to a Google Cloud API key.
