Provides AI assistants with the ability to connect to and remotely control a Minecraft Java Edition player on a server via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Connect to a remote Minecraft Java server and control a player (movement, looking, jumping, sprinting) programmatically via MCP.
Perform world interactions like digging, placing blocks, opening containers, crafting items, and managing detailed inventory state.
Interact with other entities and players (chat, list nearby players/entities, attack or follow entities, and trade with villagers).
MCP Minecraft Remote is an open-source tool that allows an AI assistant (e.g., Claude Desktop) to connect to remote Minecraft servers and control a player to navigate, mine, build, chat, manage inventory, interact with entities, and use containers. It exposes a comprehensive set of MCP actions (movement, world interaction, inventory management, crafting, trading, server info, etc.) and supports installation via npm or Smithery. The project targets vanilla Minecraft Java Edition (tested on 1.21) and is distributed under the MIT license, intended for automating gameplay and enabling agent-driven interactions on remote servers.
