Description

MemGPT MCP Server is a local TypeScript-based MCP server that implements a conversation memory system for LLMs and exposes tools for chat, memory retrieval, clearing memory, and switching providers/models. It supports multiple providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Ollama) and persists provider and model selections. The server integrates with Claude Desktop via a simple config and supports unlimited memory retrieval and provider-specific model options. It is intended for running locally (requires provider API keys) to retain conversational context across interactions.
