Description

This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server using Azure Functions that proxies the Marvel Developer API, enabling structured tool calls to list characters, fetch character or comic details, and query comics/characters with rich filters. It is intended as a sample/integration server for MCP-capable hosts (VS Code/GitHub Copilot, Claude Desktop, etc.) and includes tooling to run locally with Azurite and to deploy to Azure. The server requires your Marvel API public/private keys (stored in .env) and is not affiliated with Marvel — it simply fetches data from the official Marvel API.
