Markdownify is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that transforms a wide range of inputs—PDFs, images, audio (with transcription), DOCX/XLSX/PPTX, web pages, YouTube transcripts, and search results—into readable Markdown. It exposes a set of tools for converting and retrieving Markdown files and can be integrated into desktop apps via a simple command configuration. The server streamlines content ingestion for downstream agents, making documents and web content easy to read, index, and process.
