Description

Markdownify is an MCP server that converts a wide range of file types and web content — including PDFs, images, audio (with transcription), DOCX/XLSX/PPTX, YouTube transcripts, Bing search results, and general web pages — into Markdown. It provides tools to transform and retrieve Markdown files, enabling agents and apps to ingest, index, and display content in a consistent, human-readable format. The server can be run locally or integrated into desktop apps and includes configuration examples; the project is open-source and distributed under the MIT License.
