Description

This repository provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that wraps the Macrostrat API so assistants (like Claude Desktop) can query geologic units, columns, minerals, timescales, and map tiles via natural language. It enables programmatic access to Macrostrat data for analysis, visualization, and geological interpretation. Installation and integration instructions (including a Smithery install and Claude Desktop configuration) are included so the server can be run locally.
