A lightweight MCP server that exposes publish and consume functionality for Apache Kafka to LLMs and agentic applications.
Publish structured messages or events into Kafka topics as part of an LLM-driven workflow.
Consume and react to messages from Kafka topics, enabling real-time or asynchronous processing.
Programmatically manage Kafka topics (create, delete, list, and adjust topic configuration) during orchestration tasks.
This project implements a Message Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects AI agents and models to Kafka topics, allowing them to publish messages, consume messages, and manage topics. It supports configurable Kafka settings via a .env file and provides tools for creating, deleting, listing, and configuring topics. The server can run over stdio or Server-Sent Events (SSE) and is intended for integration with tools like Claude Desktop or other MCP-aware clients.
