Description

This server exposes Jira functionality (projects, issues, JQL search, issue creation, comments, and transitions) over the Model Context Protocol so MCP clients like Claude Desktop can interact with Jira using natural language commands. It supports multiple authentication methods (basic auth, API token, and personal access tokens) and can be run locally or in Docker. The server is intended to simplify automation and conversational workflows that need to inspect or modify Jira issues from an agent or assistant.
