Description

This TypeScript-based MCP server integrates with JIRA via jira.js and the @modelcontextprotocol/sdk to provide tools for accessing and manipulating JIRA issues from MCP clients. It includes endpoints to list tickets in the active sprint, retrieve detailed ticket information, add comments, link issues, update descriptions, list child issues, and create sub-tickets. The server is configured via environment variables (JIRA_HOST, JIRA_EMAIL, JIRA_API_TOKEN) and is intended to let conversational agents automate common JIRA workflows and surface issue data within an MCP environment.
