A server that implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to control iOS simulators via stdio, enabling programmatic booting, app management, and interactions for MCP-compatible clients like Claude Desktop.
Programmatically boot or shut down specific iOS simulator instances (by UDID) as part of automated testing or environment setup.
Install, launch, terminate apps, and take screenshots on iOS simulators to drive UI testing, gather visual outputs, or validate app behavior.
Session-based tracking of simulator metadata and lifecycle when orchestrating multiple concurrent simulator sessions or long-running automation tasks.
This project provides a bridge between iOS simulators and the Model Context Protocol, built on top of appium-ios-simulator and the MCP TypeScript SDK. It exposes simulator lifecycle actions (boot, shutdown), app installation and launch, input interactions (taps), and screenshot capture over a stdio transport so it can be used as an MCP tool. The server supports both direct UDID-based management and a session-based layer for tracking simulator metadata, and includes file-based logging that avoids interfering with the stdio channel.
