A lightweight MCP server that exposes ImageMagick image-processing capabilities (binarization, color adjustment, resizing, format conversion, filters, and metadata retrieval) to AI assistants and other MCP clients.
Programmatically resize, compress, or convert user-uploaded images before further processing or storage.
Apply visual filters or adjustments (hue, brightness, saturation, blur, grayscale) to generate variants or prepare images for analysis.
Extract detailed image metadata (format, dimensions, color depth, DPI, alpha presence) to inform downstream decisions or validations.
This server wraps ImageMagick (via the Wand Python bindings) and exposes common image operations over the MCP (Model Context Protocol), allowing AI assistants like Claude to call image-processing tools over stdio. It supports binarization, hue/brightness/saturation adjustments, resizing (by dimensions or scale), format conversion, blurring, grayscale conversion, metadata extraction, and many artistic and distortion filters. The tool is intended to be run locally and integrated by configuring an MCP client to use the provided command. It simplifies adding programmatic image manipulation capabilities to agents and chat-based workflows.
