An MCP server that integrates with Home Assistant to expose domain-specific control tools so agents can perform smart-home actions like controlling lights, climate, locks, alarms, and humidifiers.
Turn lights on/off and adjust brightness in a Home Assistant-managed environment.
Control climate systems and humidifiers (temperature, HVAC modes, humidity) programmatically.
Manage home security devices such as locking/unlocking doors and arming/disarming alarm control panels.
This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects to a Home Assistant instance and exposes tools for common domains (lights, climate, locks, alarm control panel, humidifier). It provides domain-specific prompts and example tool calls so agent frameworks can invoke Home Assistant services programmatically. Configuration is via environment variables (long-lived access token and base URL) and the README documents development and debugging workflows, including use of the MCP Inspector. The server is useful for building autonomous agents or integrations that need direct control over smart-home devices.
