This MCP server fetches up to 100 headlines evenly distributed across major US news sources and computes a normalized sentiment score on a 0–10 scale. It supports both ISO date input and flexible natural language date parsing (e.g., "yesterday", "last Friday"). Results include detailed source distribution, number of headlines and sources analyzed, a short synopsis, and sample headlines. Useful for getting a quick, quantitative snapshot of news sentiment for a given day.
