Description

This MCP server exposes tools to retrieve Hacker News content—top/new/ask/show stories, story comments, search results, and user profiles—so agents can programmatically access HN data. It integrates with Smithery and can be installed for use with Claude Desktop, with quickstart instructions provided. The server is useful for summarization, monitoring, and augmenting agent responses with up-to-date Hacker News information.

Get stories from Hacker News. The options are `top`, `new`, `ask_hn`, `show_hn` for types of stories. This doesn't include the comments. Use `get_story_info` to get the comments.
