Description

GitMCP turns GitHub repositories and GitHub Pages into an MCP-accessible documentation hub, providing tools for fetching docs, searching documentation and code, and retrieving linked URLs. It lets AI agents (Cursor, Claude, VSCode integrations, etc.) query the latest project content on demand without scraping or storing user queries. The service prioritizes llms.txt and falls back to README or site content, enabling grounded, accurate responses and code examples. GitMCP is cloud-hosted, privacy-focused, open-source, and can be self-hosted.
