An MCP server that integrates GitHub with Model Context Protocol, allowing LLM-based agents to search and interact with repositories, issues, commits, code, users, topics, labels, and pull requests.
Search across GitHub repositories, commits, code, users, topics, or labels using natural-language queries and pagination.
Fetch detailed issue or pull request data (by number) to summarize, triage, or reference in conversational workflows.
List repository issues or pull requests with filters (labels, assignees, milestones, sort/direction) for programmatic project management or monitoring.
This server connects GitHub's REST API to the Model Context Protocol so LLMs and agent frameworks (e.g., Claude Desktop) can query and act on GitHub data. It exposes numerous tools (searching repositories, issues, commits, code, users, topics, labels; listing and fetching issues and pull requests) and is configured using a GitHub personal access token. The project is designed for local deployment or embedding into agent workflows to enable programmatic, conversational access to GitHub content.
