Description

GitHub Explorer MCP exposes repository information (file contents, directory structure, stars/forks, last-updated) to MCP clients such as Claude Desktop and Cursor. It can clone repositories locally for faster processing, offers caching to reduce API calls, and supports both stdio (MCP) and HTTP/SSE modes. The server also provides progress notifications and formatted outputs (text or JSON) for easy agent consumption.
