Description

This project implements a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server tailored for GitHub, providing a standardized way to surface repository context, API access, and developer tooling to LLMs. It includes local dev instructions, environment variable configuration for a GitHub personal access token, and an option to run an interactive MCP inspector in the browser. The server is designed to let agents query GitHub data and integrate that context into model prompts and workflows. It also documents a developer integration example for Claude desktop.
