An MCP server that exposes GitHub repository, file, search, and issue/PR operations to agent workflows.
Create, update, or push single or multiple files in GitHub repositories while preserving commit history and avoiding force-pushes.
Automate issue and pull request workflows, including creating issues, comments, PRs, reviews, merges, and updating PR branches.
Search code, issues/PRs, and users across GitHub repositories and retrieve repository or file contents programmatically.
This MCP server provides programmatic access to GitHub functionality — file create/update, multi-file pushes, branching, repo creation, search (code, issues, users), and full issue/PR lifecycle operations. It preserves Git history, automatically creates branches when needed, supports batch operations, and includes comprehensive error handling to make automation robust. Usage requires a GitHub Personal Access Token and development has been moved to the official GitHub repo.
