Description

This gateway converts stdio-based Model Context Protocol (MCP) messages from Claude Desktop into HTTP/SSE requests to MCP servers and translates SSE responses back to stdio. It is distributed as an npm package (@mcphub/gateway) and can be run as a subprocess by Claude Desktop. The gateway defaults to connecting to the MCP Hub server (https://server.mcphub.ai/api/mcp) but can be pointed at any MCP server via the MCP_SERVER_URL environment variable. It enables use of HTTP/SSE MCP services without native stdio support in the client.
