Description

This MCP server provides tools to search Gallica's vast digital library using boolean operators, exact phrase matching, and advanced filters such as creators, document types, date ranges, language, and title. It also allows retrieval of text snippets and downloading of complete OCR text by document ARK identifiers, with local caching for faster access. The server converts user inputs into CQL queries sent to Gallica's SRU API, facilitating efficient and flexible access to millions of digitized documents from the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
