Description

This MCP server provides programmatic access to the USDA FoodData Central API, allowing agents to search foods, fetch detailed food records, and retrieve nutrient data across multiple data types (Foundation, SR Legacy, Survey, Branded). It supports paginated results, filtering and sorting, and can return abridged or full data sets for single or multiple FDC IDs. The server uses stdio transport so it can run as a subprocess for MCP clients (example: integration instructions for Claude Desktop are included).
